Steve Essam BSc (Hons) – Human Resources Director
Having completed his Higher Education at Sheffield Hallam with a degree in Industrial Studies, Steve joined GEC Marconi in Leicester working in Production Planning. Following this he spent six years at South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive where he started in procurement, before moving to the Human Resources function during a period of radical organisational change. He then moved back to the private sector with Economatics, a national pneumatics distributor working as a consultant and latterly as their Personnel Manager.
Prior to joining Tunstall in 1998, Steve worked for the iPT international textiles group for five years as Human Resources Director covering five sites.
Steve is married with four children. He enjoys travelling with the family and mountain biking.
