HFT provides the very best quality of support and care for people with learning disabilities and their families.
Although established 45 years ago we have developed into a progressive organisation pioneering many areas of research and service provision so we can help people live the lives they want.
We offer a wide range of flexible and creative services throughout the UK for over 1,000 people. These include supported living, short breaks, outreach support, brokerage, registered care homes, supported employment and day opportunities.
HFT has completed three mergers in recent years and is very keen to explore future appropriate opportunities in this area.

TATE
Tunstall was proud to take part in the TATE project, aimed at supporting independence and employment for people with learning disabilities and their carers.
The Through Assistive Technology to Employment (TATE) project used current and advanced assistive technology to increase employability for people with learning disabilities and support independent living within a residential care or family home setting.
An estimated 1.4 million people in England live with a learning disability - around 25 per 1000 of the population - and the project aimed to develop and mainstream assistive technology devices combined with telecare to meet the needs of these individuals. It disseminated examples of best practise amongst health and social care providers.
The lead partner in the project was HFT (The Home Farm Trust), a national charity supporting people with learning disabilities. Other project partners were SCIE, SRS Technology and Carers UK to name but a few.
TATE project manager Ann Aspinall said: "Assistive technology offers a real alternative to traditional models of care, delivering round the clock support when needed, whilst also promoting independence.
Tunstall's telecare technology was installed in the homes of 50 people with learning disabilities across the UK, enabling them to take a full and active part in their communities, supporting them in carrying out everyday tasks and effectively managing risks to their health and home environment.
Kevin Alderson, Public Sector Policy Director at Tunstall said: "This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant and tangible impact on the lives of people with learning disabilities, formal and family carers."
