Recommended Positioning
The smoke detector performs best when installed on the ceiling in the centre of a room. If this is not possible, ensure the detector is at least 50cm from the wall. To be sure that the user is woken up by the smoke detector alarm in the night, detectors should be placed in all bedrooms to provide people with maximum protection. In houses with several floors one smoke detector should be placed in the hallway of each floor. Do not install in draughts or bathrooms next to vents.
